Southeast Dairy Antitrust Litigation

If your farm produced Grade A milk in the Southeast since 2001, you could get money from $145 million in class action settlements reached with Dean Foods Company and Southern Marketing Agency.

Dean Foods, James Baird and other dairy processors agreed to pay $145 million to settle a class action suit for price fixing and underpaying farmers. The Southeast Dairy Settlement includes all dairy farmers who produced raw Grade A milk within Federal Milk Orders 5 and 7, the Appalachian and Southeast regions. It includes dairy farmers who produced and sold raw Grade A milk directly or through an agent to the defendant and co-conspirator companies in Milk Orders 5 and 7 at any time from January 1, 2001 to the present.
